Full job description

Job Overview

Work collaboratively as part of the Fabric Team on the Cumbria Consortium contract, delivering planned and reactive maintenance in line with statutory and contractual requirements.
Ensure all assigned work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards.
Accurately complete all work-related documentation in a timely manner.

Main Duties

Maintain a professional, proactive, and positive approach at all times.
Build and sustain strong customer relationships to the highest standard.
Communicate effectively with the client, planning team, and Team Leaders, providing timely updates on progress and issues.
Provide clear and accurate written descriptions of all work undertaken.
Comply fully with Sellafield SLSPs and all site-specific requirements.
Achieve and maintain certification for fire door repair and maintenance tasks.
Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety procedures to protect self, colleagues, and others.
Deliver work to a high standard within agreed timescales.
Attend stakeholder meetings to support the development of safe systems of work and scope definition.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Participate fully in training and appraisal processes.
Maintain daily communication with planners, Team Leaders, and line management regarding work progress and issues.
Undertake reactive maintenance, PPM, and project tasks as directed.
Identify and report additional work opportunities beyond contractual scope.
Maintain personal and vehicle records in line with company policy.
Complete engineering worksheets accurately and promptly.
Use mobile devices in accordance with company policy and guidance.

Personal Specification

Experience

Good understanding of site operations and strong awareness of health & safety best practices.
Proven ability to deliver high standards of workmanship.
Experience liaising with client representatives on operational and H&S matters.

Qualifications

Relevant trade qualification (minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent).
Full UK driving licence.

Additional Skills

Fire door maintenance/installation (FIRAS accredited desirable).
Fire stopping installation training.
IOSH Working Safely certification.

Personal Attributes

Strong communication skills with a focus on service delivery and customer experience.
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients, colleagues, and subcontractors.
Professional, integrity-driven approach with strong organisational skills.
Positive attitude with a commitment to meeting statutory compliance and industry best practice.

Work Environment

Mobile role across a large nuclear site under the Cumbria Consortium contract.
Physically demanding, involving a range of activities to deliver services.
Flexible approach offering 9 day fortnight work pattern, including overtime where necessary.
