This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Oversee food presentation, ensuring visual appeal and consistency
- Manage food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in accordance with health regulations
- Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen resources
- Train junior staff on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and hospitality standards
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain a positive working environment that promotes teamwork and professional development
Skills
- Proven experience in food production, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality or restaurant setting
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
- Creative flair for developing innovative dishes and menus
- Leadership qualities with effective communication skills
- Experience in hospitality, including serving guests and managing customer expectations
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, or special events as required
