Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Security Officer and become the frontline guardian of safety and security across our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment by monitoring premises, preventing loss, and ensuring the safety of staff, visitors, and assets. Your proactive approach and keen eye for detail will help foster a safe, welcoming atmosphere while safeguarding company property and resources. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your security skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Duties

Perform loss prevention measures by observing suspicious behavior and intervening when necessary to prevent theft or damage.
Manage access control by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors before granting entry.
Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, including providing first aid when required and coordinating with emergency responders.
Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and surveillance footage to ensure accurate record-keeping.
Conduct routine patrols of the facility to check for security breaches, safety hazards, or unauthorized access.
Assist in emergency preparedness drills and ensure compliance with safety protocols at all times.

Requirements

Proven ability to operate surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras with precision and attention to detail.
Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and experience in monitoring for theft or suspicious activities.
Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert during long shifts in various environments.
Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and interacting professionally with staff and visitors.
Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods while maintaining focus on surveillance responsibilities.
Prior experience in security or related fields is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
SIA licence required.
Working in a corporate environment including reception work. There are 2 roles to fill. Role 1: Working 14.30 - 21.00 Monday and Tuesday then the following week it’s Monday Tuesday Wednesday. Role 2: working wednesday Thursday Friday week 1 then Thursday Friday week 2.
