Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technical Assistant (TA) to support our project teams in delivering high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational and communication skills, with a solid understanding of software development methodologies and project management tools. Duties
- Assist in requirements gathering and analysis to define project scope and objectives.
- Support the development and execution of test cases, including user acceptance testing (UAT) and test-driven development (TDD).
- Coordinate and track project activities using management tools such as Jira, TFS, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and other project management software.
- Contribute to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) processes, including release management and deployment planning.
- Collaborate with developers, testers, and stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and ensure project milestones are met.
- Document technical specifications, process flows using Visio, and other relevant documentation.
- Assist in analysing system performance, disaster recovery planning, and cloud computing solutions such as AWS and Azure.
- Support the organisation of meetings, prepare reports using Microsoft Word and Excel, and maintain comprehensive project records.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to project management practices and software development procedures.
Experience
- Proven experience or familiarity with SAFe, Waterfall methodologies, or Agile frameworks such as Kanban.
- Knowledge of SQL, Oracle databases, and cloud computing platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Experience with programme management tools including Jira, TFS, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Visio, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Understanding of SDLC processes, release management, disaster recovery strategies, and user acceptance testing procedures.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Excellent analysis skills coupled with effective communication skills for liaising with diverse teams.
- Demonstrated ability in requirements gathering, test case creation, negotiation skills, leadership qualities, and time management.
- Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD), program management principles, and software development lifecycle best practices.
