The Creative Outdoor Group Ltd (COG), an established leading provider in Adventure Therapy and activity based support, is seeking Full-time, freelance / zero hour Adventure Support Workers to facilitate a range of therapeutic adventure programmes involving a diverse and challenging client group. Roles vary across the programmes but can include Outdoor Activity Instruction, Social Support, Therapy and Counselling.
We are looking for Talented and Robust Professionals with backgrounds in Outdoor Activity, Social Care, Education and Therapeutic Services to work with clients who have emotional, behavioural or physical difficulties in highly structured and therapeutically driven programmes of adventure and activity.
All roles are offered on a number of flexible terms and will consist of overnight shifts and daytime work, usually starting and finishing at 10:00 in the morning for overnights, and covering weekdays, weekends and bank holidays. All staff are required to attend monthly meetings, training events and supervisions. Full time positions require around 12 days per month.

Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence and use of own vehicle for work purposes
- Willing to undergo Enhanced DBS checks
- Professional and Caring approach to work
- Ability to regularly work and sleep in outdoor camp environments
- Ability to participate in a huge variety of tasks and activities at multiple locations
- 2 years experience within a similar role, eg therapeutic care worker, residential care worker, youth work, senior outdoor instructor, SEN assistant etc
Desirable Requirements
- 1 Day First Aid Certificate
- Level 3 NVQ in Social Care or Equivalent
- Therapeutic or Counselling Qualifications/Experience eg DDP, CBT, Play Therapy
- Expedition Leadership Qualifications/Experience eg ML, IML, BEL3, MIA, 2-5 Day Wilderness First Aid
- Outdoor Activity Coaching Qualifications in kayaking, climbing and mountaineering, bushcraft and/mountain biking.
- Based in the Midlands / Willing to work across the UK

All new employees will be expected to attend a 2 day foundation induction prior to being able to work directly on shift, followed by a further 3 day progression induction once settled in the role.
