Role Description
This is a fixed term role for a period of up to 2 years supporting BAE Systems Group-mandated transformation initiatives, ensuring the adoption and business enablement of required capabilities into Digital Intelligence IM&T and wider business.
The role will cover two major transformation programmes, one of which is in an active transition phase, the other is developing its designs, and implementation will follow iteratively. The programmes scope cover in broad terms Enterprise IT partner transitions and major changes in operating model and organisation design.
Core required deliverables of this role include:
- Manage as part of a sector-based team all change-related programme deliverables, including the analysis, completion and tracking of change impact assessments using agreed templates and artefacts in the programme context. Change impact analysis against agreed scope and deliverables across multiple concurrent workstreams, using the resulting impact analysis for planning of scope of the adoption of change at the organisational and business process level.
- Gaining and managing a deep understanding of programme inter-dependencies in relation to business change activities, supporting upward reporting into change and transformation forums to enable insights and visibility across a wide range of interested stakeholders.
- Establish the sector business change network, including stakeholder identification, engagement, planning for meetings, workshops and tracking of engagement activities. Owning identified business change and analysis-related actions and deliverables to completion. Ensuring that key stakeholders are engaged, informed and updated, and develop working relationships with them to increase the likelihood of successful change adoption.
- Supports the delivery of high complexity / high priority portfolios of programmes and business change projects from multiple investment sources totalling more than £40m per annum.
- Supports and executes business analysis, manging progress compared with the plan and the production of agreed deliverables.
- Supports the delivery of all business analysis activity and artefacts across the assigned IT programmes and projects. The remit of this role is wide-ranging covering all aspects of IT change.
Core Duties
- Performs the scoping; planning; development; delivery and assessment of specified information and communications systems services.
- Ensures the completion and execution of the IM&T business analysis processes.
- Helps communicate the need and rationale for organisational structure and culture change. Supports organisational change by advocating and lobbying for change. Puts in place mechanisms to reinforce and embed organisational and culture change. Acts as a role model for desired behaviours and sets consistent standards and expectations.
- Engages with and influences senior level stakeholders and project teams through assessment, definition and change management processes, ensuring that the change is managed and to provide agreed levels of adoption and business enablement.
- Supports the delivery objectives for usability and accessibility and to ensure that this is addressed in requirements analysis and solution design.
- Utilisies appropriate business analysis methods, tools, techniques; both predictive (plan-driven) approaches and adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches.
