Full job description

We are looking for a passionate, people focused, and guest obsessed General Manager to join our team here at The Cricketers on the Green and help us achieve our goals and growth.

The General Manager at The Cricketers on the Green is responsible for leading the pub with energy, pride and complete ownership. This is a hands on leadership role at the heart of the business, ensuring that every guest receives warm, professional and memorable hospitality, every team member is supported and held to high standards, and every area of the pub operates with consistency, care and commercial focus.

Have you got what it takes? You will have full P&L responsibility with a focus on driving sales, being guest obsessed, and delivering on key KPIs – both financial and people focused.

You’ll be passionate about developing and growing your pub – enabling everyone to reach their full potential and drive sales through their busines. A real team player.
You’ll have a well-honed commercial edge, an eye for maximising every profit opportunity and desire to see your team prosper from these skills.
You look to add value in every meeting, managing your time well and maximising opportunities.
You know how to demonstrate pace and urgency, and network when it comes to recruitment. Energy and a ‘can do’ attitude is essential.
You know how to deliver a great guest experience through a high level of service and standards.
You have the ability to work cross functionally with all departments and support both the front and back of house teams.

What you’ll bring to the table – You’ll have a enthusiasm for hospitality, service and experience in management.

Passion for your people, pubs, and the industry
Demonstrate and implement a sales culture across your pub business
Deliver great standards and service across your drinks and food business.
Track record of right first time recruitment success
Natural desire to nurture and shape your team
Recognise and reward successes with the ability to inspire, motivate, and challenge where needed
Have an enviable P&L with the ability and experience to maximise opportunities with astute commercial acumen
Above all else – a lover of our community pubs and the purpose they bring
