Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated IAP Residential Support Worker (Relief) to join our team in Poole, Dorset. This vital role involves providing high-quality, person-centred care to residents within our supported living services. As a Relief Support Worker, you will play a key part in ensuring continuity of care and supporting the day-to-day needs of individuals in a respectful and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver personalised care and support to residents in line with their Individualised Support Plans (IAPs).
Assist with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication administration, and mobility support.
Promote independence and social inclusion by encouraging participation in community activities and skill development.
Maintain accurate records and report any changes in residents’ health or behaviour promptly.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including healthcare professionals, social workers, and families.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and safeguarding policies at all times.
Provide relief cover flexibly to support service continuity across shifts as required.

Qualifications & Experience

Previous experience in a residential care or supported living environment preferred.
Relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3) are desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
Understanding of safeguarding principles and confidentiality.
Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
Commitment to person-centred care and promoting dignity and respect.
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
