We have an exciting opportunity for two experienced Wellbeing Neurodivergence Specialists to join our innovative Children and Young People (CYP) Wellbeing Service, which serves as the central hub for all mental health referrals for young people in Brighton & Hove.

The service provides mild‑to‑moderate mental health support for children and young people aged 2–24 years living in Brighton & Hove.

We’re looking for a passionate and skilled practitioner who is committed to making a meaningful difference to the wellbeing of children and young people. You’ll bring a strong mix of relevant qualifications, hands-on experience, and a collaborative, team-focused approach.

We are seeking accredited professionals with a background in CWP, EMHP, or a similar role, alongside proven experience delivering low-intensity CBT interventions.

In this role you will be working with children and young people with ADHD and/or Autism, where neurodivergence is diagnosed or suspected, and presentations are mild to moderate. This is a low‑intensity, first‑line CBT offer, delivered through in‑person sessions and/or group work.

Key responsibilities include triaging referrals, completing wellbeing assessments, and delivering short‑term, evidence‑based treatment.

About you

We’re looking for a passionate and skilled practitioner who is committed to making a meaningful difference to the wellbeing of children and young people. You’ll bring the right blend of professional qualifications, practical experience, and a collaborative approach to your work.

You will already hold one of the following recognised qualifications:

Child Wellbeing Practice Graduate or Postgraduate Diploma

Postgraduate Certificate in Evidence-Based Psychological Treatment – Children and Young People’s Wellbeing Practitioner

Child and Young Persons Psychological Wellbeing Practice PGDip

Educational Mental Health Practitioner (PGDip)

You will be accredited with, or eligible for accreditation, with a relevant professional body (HCPC, BACP, BABCP, UKCP, BPS, PTUK or AFSP). You will have solid experience delivering evidence-based, short-term, low-intensity interventions to children and young people aged 8–24 within a community setting. You will bring substantial experience supporting children and young people with suspected or diagnosed neurodivergent conditions, particularly ADHD and autism.

You are a strong team player who works confidently under supervision and takes a proactive approach to safeguarding when delivering groups or structured activities. You can communicate complex information clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, and contribute positively within a multidisciplinary team.

A teaching or training qualification (e.g. Level 3 AET), alongside experience in designing and delivering group-based training or workshops, would be an advantage.
