Job title: Technical Coordinator/Call Handler

Location: Worthing, West Sussex

Job type: Full time

Reports to: Lisa Hannington, Director

Salary: From £24,000 per year (depending on experience)

We are a well-established leak detection company with over 15 years of industry experience, specialising in identifying and resolving complex leaks for domestic and commercial customers.

Due to expansion, we are looking for a highly organised, technically minded, and confident individual to join our operations team. This is not a standard call centre role — you will play a key part in coordinating engineers, assessing incoming jobs, gathering accurate technical information, and ensuring customers receive an efficient and professional service.

This role would suit someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in what can be a fast-paced environment, and is confident communicating with both customers and field engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

· Handling a high volume of inbound calls professionally and efficiently

· Gathering accurate technical information from customers regarding leak issues

· Providing quotations and coordinating bookings for leak detection appointments

· Liaising with engineers throughout the day to manage workloads and job updates.

· Providing clear updates and support to customers, insurers, and property managers

· Maintaining clear and accurate records using internal systems and software

· Arranging parking, travel/hotels, and access requirements for engineers attending site visits

About You:

We are specifically looking for someone with strong organisational and technical aptitude, not simply customer service experience.

You should have:

· Previous experience in a busy office, operations, scheduling, or technical call handling role

· Excellent telephone communication skills with confidence speaking to customers and engineers.

· Ability to write clear, professional emails and job notes with a high standard of spelling and grammar.

· Strong IT skills and the ability to learn new systems.

· Being able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

· A calm and professional approach in what can be a fast-moving environment.

Desirable Experience:

The following experience would be highly advantageous:

· Plumbing, drainage, property maintenance, or construction industry knowledge

· Insurance claims or home emergency assistance experience

· Experience scheduling field engineers or mobile workforce.

· Technical helpdesk or operations coordination experience
