Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Verification & Validation (V&V) Engineer to join our dynamic software development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through comprehensive testing, automation, and analysis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work across various platforms and technologies, contributing to the delivery of high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment. The ideal applicant will possess strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to quality assurance.

Responsibilities

Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, and Cucumber to ensure efficient test coverage.
Perform functional, system, performance, load, and user acceptance testing across diverse applications including web, mobile (Android and iOS), and enterprise systems.
Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and translate them into comprehensive test cases aligned with SDLC best practices.
Conduct root cause analysis on defects identified during testing phases and work with developers to facilitate timely resolution.
Implement continuous integration processes using Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, Azure DevOps, or similar tools to streamline testing workflows within DevOps pipelines.
Participate in release management activities by validating software releases and verifying compliance with quality standards.
Analyse test results and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders; identify areas for process improvement in testing strategies.
Support system troubleshooting efforts by diagnosing issues related to APIs, web services (SOAP/REST), database connectivity (SQL/PL/SQL), and network configurations.
Assist in requirements gathering sessions with business analysts and clients to ensure test plans align with business needs.
Contribute to the maintenance of testing environments across operating systems including Windows, Linux, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

Requirements

Proven experience in software testing and quality assurance within a fast-paced development environment.
Strong knowledge of test automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber (or similar).
Familiarity with continuous integration/delivery pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD or equivalent tools.
Proficiency in programming languages including Java, C#, Python, or C++, along with scripting skills in Bash or PowerShell.
Experience working with APIs (REST/SOAP), web services, databases (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server), and related technologies like JDBC or Hibernate.
Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies including Waterfall and Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.
Ability to perform performance testing using LoadRunner or similar tools; experience with system testing is desirable.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues related to software components or infrastructure.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams; capable of documenting detailed test cases and defect reports clearly.
Relevant certifications such as ISTQB or CSTE are advantageous but not mandatory.
