Full job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Phlebotomist to join our friendly and supportive GP practice team at The Park Surgery in Littlehampton, West Sussex.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced phlebotomist who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care within a busy primary care setting.

Main Duties

Performing venepuncture for patients
Preparing and labelling blood samples accurately
Ensuring samples are processed and stored correctly
Maintaining accurate patient records using clinical systems (SystmOne)
Providing a professional, caring, and compassionate service to patients
Working collaboratively with GPs, nurses, and the wider practice team
Adhering to infection prevention and control procedures at all times

About You

The successful candidate will:

Have previous phlebotomy experience, ideally within primary care or community settings
Hold a recognised phlebotomy qualification or relevant training
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Be organised, reliable, and able to work independently
Be confident working in a busy clinical environment
Have good IT skills and attention to detail

Experience using SystmOne is desirable but not essential.
