Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting dentists during procedures, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily clinic activities. This position offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment committed to delivering high-quality dental services. The role is paid and suitable for individuals passionate about healthcare and patient wellbeing.

Duties

Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilising instruments and setting up necessary equipment
Provide pre- and post-treatment care instructions to patients
Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
Support with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and patient correspondence
Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the clinical environment in accordance with health and safety standards
Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures clearly and answering any questions they may have
Monitor patient wellbeing throughout treatments, recognising any signs of distress or discomfort

Qualifications

Proven experience in patient care within a healthcare or dental setting is desirable
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Basic IT skills for managing patient records and clinic administration
Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
Relevant nursing qualifications or certification recognised within the UK healthcare system are preferred
Ability to work well as part of a team, demonstrating professionalism and empathy at all times
