Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable General Builder/Bricklayer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in masonry and general building tasks, with the ability to work efficiently on various projects. Duties
- Lay bricks, blocks, and other masonry materials to construct walls, foundations, and other structures
- Use hand tools such as trowels, hammers, and chisels to execute precise work
- Operate power tools including drills, saws, and mixers safely and effectively
- Assist with carpentry tasks such as framing and fitting doors or windows
- Carry out roofing tasks when required, including installing tiles or shingle
- Follow technical drawings and specifications accurately
- Maintain a clean and organised worksite to ensure safety standards are met
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget
- Installation of steels and Lintals
- Good understanding of Health & Safety regulations
Skills
- Proficiency in bricklaying and masonry techniques
- Experience with hand tools and power tools used in construction environments
- Knowledge of carpentry practices relevant to building projects
- Ability to undertake roofing tasks with attention to detail
- Good organisational skills with the ability to read technical drawings and instructions
- Strong teamwork ethic with excellent communication skills
- Physical fitness to handle manual labour over extended periods in various weather conditions
