At ASE Autogate, we install, service and maintain automatic doors, industrial doors, roller shutters and steel doors for commercial, industrial and public sector clients across Yorkshire, and were going through a huge period of growth...

We are now on a mission to grow our fantastic team of engineers and keen to hear from the best, most experienced automation engineers across the Yorkshire region, who have worked on access systems, such as gates, barriers, doors and shutters, who enjoy practical, on-site work and want to develop a specialist skillset in a growing, safety-critical sector.

The Role...

This is a field-based engineering role covering servicing, repairs, maintenance and installations.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Repair

Installing, servicing and repairing industrial of either doors, roller shutters and steel doors or automatic gates and barriers.
Carrying out upgrades and remedial works as required

Technical Troubleshooting

Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults on-site
Aiming for first-time fixes wherever possible

Maintenance (PPM)

Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
Ensuring equipment operates safely and in line with compliance standards

Compliance & Reporting

Completing service documentation, risk assessments and technical reports accurately
Working in line with health & safety legislation and company procedures

Customer Service

Liaising professionally with clients on-site
Managing on-site safety and representing ASE Autogate positively

Emergency Response

Participating in a 24/7 on-call rota for emergency breakdowns and repairs

You’ll be fully supported by our office and service desk team, with proper scheduling, parts coordination and backup, you’re not on your own out there.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience

Proven experience in industrial door and shutter installation, servicing or maintenance

Technical Skills

Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability
Confidence working with motors, control panels and safety devices

Qualifications

Full UK driving licence (essential)
DHF and ADSA certification required

Safety Focus

Good knowledge of health & safety regulations
Methodical, safety-conscious approach to work

Working Conditions

Field-based role involving travel between customer sites
Overtime and on-call work as part of a rota
Company van and power tools provided
PPE and specialist equipment supplied
