Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic,highly organised and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator specialising in import and export operations, as a vacancy has arisen due to retirement. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating domestic and international shipments, ensuring export and import documentation is accurate and compliant, and maintaining excellent communication with customers, suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal departments.

Duties
- Coordinate and manage export and import shipments by sea, and road freight.
- Prepare and process all export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and customs paperwork, and insurance where applicable.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, carriers, and customs brokers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Organise the hire of forklift trucks and other lifting equipment for the dismantling/collection of machinery.
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve any transport or customs-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with export/import regulations, customs requirements, and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update internal systems.
- Provide customers with shipment updates and delivery information.
- Coordinate movement of machinery within the UK
- Update CRM (Gmach) with relevant information
- Assist with organising of logistics for hotels, travel including flights for engineers.
- Assist with freight cost management and supplier performance monitoring.
Skills
- Previous experience in a logistics, shipping, or export coordination role.
- Knowledge of export procedures and international shipping documentation.
- Understanding of customs requirements and international trade regulations.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Desirable
- Knowledge of Incoterms and international trade compliance.
- Familiarity with HS codes
- Experience of preparing Letters of Credit documentation
Pay: £38,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
