Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated TEFL teacher or tutor for a one-week assignment in Oswestry. The successful candidate will deliver engaging English language lessons to Chinese health professionals, including children and individuals requiring special education support. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your tutoring and teaching skills in a dynamic environment, fostering language development and confidence among students.
Duties
- Plan and deliver effective English language lessons tailored to the needs of individual learners
- Support students with varying abilities, including those in special education programmes
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to enhance learning engagement
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation
- Communicate regularly with students and, where appropriate, with parents or guardians about progress and areas for improvement
- Maintain accurate records of attendance and student performance throughout the week
Requirements
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) or similar roles
- Experience working with children and understanding of child development principles
- Knowledge of special education needs and inclusive teaching strategies is desirable
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage learners of all ages
- Organised, adaptable, and able to plan lessons effectively within a short timeframe
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate professionalism throughout the assignment
- A recognised qualification in TEFL or TESOL is preferred but not essential
Pay: £20.00-£25.00 per hour
