Radar is a full-service Marketing, PR, Publishing and Events Agency specialising in B2B campaigns within the built environment. We work across brand communications, editorial, digital media and live events, delivering commercial opportunities and industry insight for businesses across construction and building technologies.
Our events portfolio is a key part of our offering, delivering highly targeted seminars, awards, conferences, exhibitions and industry experiences that attract thousands of construction professionals annually.
The Role
As an Events Apprentice, you will develop the foundational skills required to become an event specialist. Working closely with the Events Director and the wider team, you will receive hands-on training to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of our diverse B2B events portfolio.
This is a fast-paced, practical role where you will balance real-world event administration with a structured, online modular learning programme. Over the course of 15 months, you will grow in confidence and capability - moving from a supporting assistant to a vital asset in our event execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of a full calendar of events, including conferences, exhibitions, seminars, roundtables, webinars and factory tours.
- Assist with event logistics, including venue coordination, supplier bookings, equipment requirements and delegate management.
- Liaise with exhibitors, sponsors, speakers and partners to coordinate participation and ensure all requirements are met.
- Prepare and distribute event information packs, joining instructions and pre-event communications.
- Maintain and update event websites with accurate content, schedules and speaker information.
- Support event marketing activity, including email campaigns, social media content and promotional materials.
- Assist in the creation and formatting of event presentations and supporting materials.
- Attend events to support on-the-day delivery, including set-up, registration, speaker coordination and delegate support (occasional travel and overnight stays required).
- Update CRM and manage event databases, ensuring data accuracy and effective communication tracking.
- Conduct research into venues, suppliers and industry partners, supporting cost control and quality delivery.
- Provide excellent customer service to all event participants, ensuring a professional and positive experience.
- Assist in gathering feedback and producing post-event reports to support continuous improvement.
- Support wider team activity across publishing, marketing and commercial functions where required.
What We Are Looking For
You do not need prior experience in events to apply for this role; we are looking for potential, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn!
- Organisational Skills: An ability to manage your own time efficiently and stay on top of daily tasks.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with our team and industry stakeholders.
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable using Microsoft Office and eager to learn new software and CRM databases.
- Attitude: Proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced, creative environment.
- Qualifications: Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English (or GCSE grade C/4 or higher). If you don't have these yet, you will be supported to achieve them during your apprenticeship.
- Travel: A full UK driving licence and access to a car is preferred due to event travel requirements.
Apprenticeship Learning & Progression
Through our training provider, you will cover 18 comprehensive learning modules, including Project Management, Teamwork, Equality & Diversity (EDI), and Presentation Skills. Your course concludes with an End-Point Assessment consisting of a project report, a portfolio showcase, and a professional discussion.
Upon successful completion of this apprenticeship, you will be ideally positioned to progress into a permanent career path, such as an Event Coordinator.

Reports directly to the Events Director.
