We are seeking an experienced and strategic Business Systems Manager, who understands both technology and business operations, to lead the development, implementation and optimisation of business systems across the organisation. This is a highly visible role that will work across multiple departments, ensuring our systems support both our current needs and long-term growth ambitions.
This role requires a commercially-minded leader who can build strong relationships, drive change, and bring people together around a shared vision for smarter, more effective ways of working.
The Role
As Business Systems Manager, you will be the organisation's lead for business systems, responsible for creating and delivering a systems strategy that supports operational excellence, scalability and continuous improvement.
You will work closely with senior leaders, operational teams and external suppliers to understand business requirements, identify opportunities for transformation, and implement solutions that improve efficiency, enhance user experience and provide greater organisational insight.
Success in this role will come from your ability to balance technical IT knowledge and strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, influencing stakeholders at all levels while ensuring systems are effectively implemented, adopted and continuously improved.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the main point of contact for all business systems across Embrace Care
- Work with managers and teams across the business to understand needs and identify improvements
- Review and improve systems and processes to make them more efficient and user-friendly
- Research, select and implement new systems that support business growth
- Lead system projects from planning through to launch, including training and support
- Improve integration between systems and automate processes where possible
- Build integrations and automated workflows using platforms such as Make, Zapier, Power Automate, Airtable or similar
- Work with APIs, webhooks, JSON and data structures
- Manage relationships with system providers and external partners
- Support colleagues with system changes, training and adoption
- Monitor system performance and ensure systems remain reliable, secure and fit for purpose
- Keep up to date with new technologies and recommend improvements that support the organisation's future growth
Requirements
You will have:
- Significant experience managing, implementing and optimising business systems across multiple business functions
- A proven track record of delivering successful systems transformation, implementation or digital improvement projects
- An understanding of IT platforms, APIs and data structures
- Strong experience gathering business requirements and translating operational challenges into practical technology solutions
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage colleagues at all levels, including senior leadership teams
- Demonstrated success leading organisational change and driving user adoption of new systems and processes
- Strong project management, planning and organisational skills
- Experience managing supplier relationships, software procurement and implementation lifecycles
- The ability to analyse complex processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts in a clear and accessible way
