Full job description

Job Title: Project Administrator

Location: Cheshunt, Hertfordshire
Salary: Upto £35,000 DOE

About the Role

We're looking for a Junior Project Administrator to join our projects team to provide essential administrative support across live construction and engineering projects. This is a great entry point into the industry, offering hands-on exposure to project delivery and site operations from day one.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and update project documentation, including contracts, drawings, RFIs, and correspondence logs
Coordinate and schedule meetings, site visits, and subcontractor attendances; take and distribute minutes
Assist with raising and tracking purchase orders, delivery dockets, and invoices
Support the project team with tender administration and contract management tasks
Manage document control systems to ensure the right versions are distributed to the right people
Liaise with internal teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors to keep communication flowing
Assist in preparing progress reports, cost reports, and programme updates
Track and chase outstanding submittals, approvals, and actions
General administrative support to Project Managers as required

What We're Looking For

1–2 years of experience in an administrative role, ideally within construction, engineering, or a related industry (or a relevant qualification/internship)
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with project management or document control software (e.g. Procore, Aconex, or similar) is a plus
Clear written and verbal communication
Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
