Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Woodworker to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting, assembling, and finishing wooden products with precision and care. Duties
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and assemble wood components
- Measure and mark materials accurately according to project specifications
- Fabricate custom wooden parts and structures in accordance with design plans
- Perform assembly of wooden products, ensuring proper fit and finish
- Conduct quality checks throughout the fabrication process to maintain high standards
- Assist in the organisation and maintenance of the workshop, ensuring a clean and safe working environment
- Handle heavy lifting of materials and finished products as required
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and project specifications
Experience
- Proven experience in woodworking, fabrication, or related trades
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to operating woodworking machinery and tools
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and sewing techniques for fabricating wooden items
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential
- Familiarity with assembly processes and attention to detail in finishing work
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Experience working with various materials including wood, fabric, or composite materials is desirable
