Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive individual to support our logistics and supply chain operations. The successful candidate will assist in coordinating transportation activities, yard management and ensuring the efficient movement of goods. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong management, organisational, and communication skills .
Responsibilities
- Seasonal working hours. Summer hours (May - September: 7am to 3.30pm. Winter hours (October - April) 6 am to 2.30am. Overtime available when requested by prior agreement
- Routing delivery schedules to optimise efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Supervise transport staff, providing guidance to ensure high standards of customer service and safety
- Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle logs
- Monitor stock levels and reporting as required
- Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth operations
- Taking customer phone calls: addressing enquiries and inputting orders
- Welcome and greeting visitors, receiving deliveries and dealing with customers in person including yard sales
- Assist in managing supply chain activities to ensure timely delivery of goods
Competencies
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- A valid driving licence
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and IT systems relevant to logistics management and order entry
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong customer service orientation with problem-solving capabilities
- A keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy in all tasks
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail

Pay: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
