Administration Assistant

Location: Switch Now, St Neots, Cambridgeshire

Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)

Contract: Part-time – 15 hours per week (on site)

Switch Now is a specialist training and qualified alternative education provider supporting neurodiverse young adults and individuals with additional needs to build skills, confidence, and independence. We deliver personalised programmes and supported employment pathways to help people move into meaningful work.

The Role

We are looking for a positive, organised, and reliable Administration Assistant to support the smooth running of our service. You will play a key role in ensuring our company, training/learning programmes, and co-worker support teams can operate effectively. This is a varied and meaningful role within a busy and purpose-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day administrative support to the team
Manage emails, phone calls, and general enquiries
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and databases
Support document preparation, filing, and office organisation
Assist with administrative tasks linked to co-worker programmes
Help prepare learning materials, timetables, and session resources
Support tracking of co-worker progress and attendance records
Ability to work independently and utilise own initiative
Support scheduling of meetings, reviews, and training sessions
Ensure clear and professional communication at all times
Help maintain a welcoming and organised office environment
Support safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection procedures

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Organised, reliable, and detail-focused
Friendly and confident communicating with a range of people
Comfortable working in a busy, purpose-driven environment
Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Positive, flexible, and willing to support the wider team

Essential Requirements

Experience in administration, office support, or coordination roles
Knowledge of confidentiality and GDPR processes
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint

Desirable Requirements

Experience in education, care, charity, or supported employment settings
Knowledge of safeguarding processes
Knowledge of or experience with other IT programmes
Familiarity with supporting people with additional needs
