GRAPHIC DESIGNER (MATERNITY COVER)

Overview
We're looking for a talented and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our Creative Content Team on a 12-month maternity cover contract.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys creating beautiful, engaging design work across both print and digital channels. Working as part of our Creative Content Team, you'll help bring the Sophie Allport brand to life through thoughtful, inspiring visuals that feel warm, distinctive and true to our lifestyle heritage.
From seasonal brochures and website assets to social content, email campaigns and paid advertising, you'll play an important role in supporting the creative output of the business.
All About You
You have a strong eye for design, excellent attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality creative work. You'll be comfortable working across both print and digital projects, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
You'll be organised, proactive and collaborative, enjoying the opportunity to work closely with colleagues across Creative, Marketing, Ecommerce and Commercial teams. Comfortable taking direction whilst applying your own initiative, you'll bring fresh ideas and a positive approach to every project.
Most importantly, you'll take pride in producing beautiful design work that reflects and strengthens the Sophie Allport brand.
Key Responsibilities
Day to Day
- Design and create high quality print and digital assets in line with brand guidelines.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather feedback and implement amends efficiently.
- Maintain consistency across all creative output, ensuring brand standards are upheld.
- Proof check artwork thoroughly before final approval and production.
Print Design
- Design seasonal retail and trade brochures, including digital brochure versions.
- Create printed marketing materials including thank you cards, magazine inserts, point of sale materials and shop signage.
- Prepare print ready artwork and liaise with external printers where required.
- Attend press passes and support the print production process.
Digital Design
- Create promotional assets for websites, email campaigns, social media and digital advertising.
- Design creative assets for paid social and Performance Max campaigns.
- Produce website content and ensure assets are supplied in the correct formats and dimensions for campaign activity.
- Create digital sales materials and supporting collateral for Trade and Commercial teams.
Content Creation & Motion Design
- Edit video content for websites, digital advertising and social media channels.
- Create simple animations using existing artwork and photography assets.
- Support the creation of organic social media content as required.
- Brief and collaborate with the Senior Image Retoucher on image editing requirements.
Brand & Creative Support
- Support the delivery of seasonal campaigns and wider creative projects.
- Work collaboratively with the Creative Content Team to bring campaign concepts to life.
- Ensure all creative work reflects the Sophie Allport brand identity and visual standards.
Experience, Requirement & Attributes
- Degree qualified and/or equivalent experience in Graphic Design or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years' experience in a similar design role.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating both print and digital design work.
- Experience creating brochures, digital advertising assets, email content and website graphics.
- Experience managing projects from initial brief through to final production.
- Experience with video editing and animation.
- Excellent attention to detail and proof checking skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Collaborative approach with excellent communication skills.
- A strong interest in home interiors and lifestyle brands would be advantageous.
- The successful candidate must have the right to work in the UK.
Salary will be dependent on experience and skills, complemented by our employee benefits package.
