Job Overview
We are seeking motivated and skilled Ductwork Fitters to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing ductwork systems that are essential for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) operations. Your expertise will ensure optimal airflow and system efficiency across various construction and maintenance projects. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical schematics and blueprints to accurately install ductwork systems
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install duct components with precision and attention to detail
- Use specialized tools and equipment to secure duct sections and ensure proper sealing and insulation
- Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on existing duct systems to optimize performance
- Troubleshoot issues related to airflow, leaks, or equipment malfunction; perform necessary repairs promptly
- Collaborate with project managers, HVAC technicians, and construction teams to ensure timely project completion
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and wearing appropriate protective gear at all times
Experience
- Proven experience in ductwork fitting or related construction roles involving HVAC systems
- Strong mechanical knowledge of duct installation processes and system components
- Ability to read and understand schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints effectively
- Demonstrated leadership skills in guiding team members or apprentices during projects
- Experience with equipment repair and maintenance of HVAC-related tools and machinery
- Knowledge of air conditioning systems, ventilation principles, and building codes is highly desirable
- Prior construction experience is preferred to navigate diverse job sites confidently
