The Mini Shop Bristol is a fast growing, family run used car dealership and service centre based in Yate near Bristol, specialising in MINI’s. We are looking to employ a new technician to join our expanding business at this exciting time. Working from our newly refurbished service centre, complete with the latest main dealer equipment and tools you will be responsible for the preparation, servicing and repair of modern MINI’s of all ages.
We are looking for someone who is hungry to learn and progress within the automotive world, some previous technician experience is necessary but full training will be given on brand specific software, diagnostics and repairs so if you’re at apprentice level or have been in the industry for a longer period then please apply. Alongside the general service, repair and preparation work you will also have the opportunity to be involved in our the car sales business activities and successful race team, should you wish.
Reporting to the business owner, your day to day duties will include:
- Diagnosing vehicle faults with the aid of software and digital tools
- Repairing and replacing faulty parts
- Performing test drives to check repairs
- Carrying out scheduled servicing and maintenance
- Updating vehicle service records
- Installing and fitting vehicle accessories
- Preparing cost and time estimates for work done
- Maintaining a database of parts
- Collection and delivery of vehicles
- Reporting faults found to customers
Key skills required in this role include:

- Working knowledge of repair tools and machinery

- Ability to work autonomously
We offer a competitive salary dependent on experience, 28 days annual leave, a great working environment including break area, free drinks and a great team. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:30am-5.00pm and the occasional Saturday morning when required. A full, clean UK Driving licence is essential.
