Overview

We are seeking a reliable, flexible and enthusiastic Dental Receptionist/Nurse to join our private practice.

This is a great opportunity for someone seeking regular part time hours with flexibilty for additonal shifts. The role will invlve supporting the team the clinical team.

Hours : Alternative Mondays 09:30-6.00pm Additonal hours available to provide holiday, sickness and team cover when required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing reception duites ; scheduling appointments, payments, patient support and ensuring the smooth operation of the reception area. When neccessary assisting with clinical procedures. Prior experience in dental nursing or reception is advantageous.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and manage appointment scheduling efficiently
Assist dentists during clinical procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise equipment in accordance with health and safety standards
Provide patient care by offering pre- and post-treatment advice and support
Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems, ensuring confidentiality at all times
Handle administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, managing correspondence, and processing payments
Ensure the reception area remains tidy, organised, and welcoming
Communicate effectively with patients and team members to facilitate smooth clinic operations

Qualifications

Experience in patient care or nursing within a dental or healthcare setting is desirable
Proficiency in English with excellent communication skills
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Good IT skills, including familiarity with dental practice management software
Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring attitude towards patients
Ability to work well within a team and adapt to a busy environment
