Full job description

About the Role

We are seeking compassionate and reliable Support Workers to join our team at a specialist mental health care home. You will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and comfort of our residents throughout the night.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will provide person-centred care to individuals with a range of mental health needs, promoting independence, dignity, and respect at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out regular welfare checks on residents throughout the night
Provide emotional support and reassurance when required
Respond appropriately to incidents, distress, or crisis situations
Supporting service users with personal care, and cleaning.
Support residents with medication (if trained)
Maintain accurate and detailed records of care and observations
Ensure a safe, calm, and secure environment
Complete light housekeeping duties as needed

Requirements

Previous experience in a care or mental health setting (preferred but not essential)
A caring, patient, and empathetic nature
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Good communication and observation skills
Willingness to work night shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Shift Patterns:

We're looking for full and part-time staff (24-36hours per week). Night Shift: 8pm-8am

Rotas are provided 4 weeks in advance, ensuring a healthy work-life balance.

· Right to work in the UK on a full-time/part-time basis without the need for sponsorship

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: £12.75-£12.90 per hour
