Apprentice Nursery Practitioner (Level 3)
37 hours per week (Monday-Friday), All Year Round
Actual salary: National Minimum Wage £15,434.33 – 24,521.29 (depending on age)
Fixed term to align with completion of Level 3 apprenticeship
Brookside Academy Nursery are currently recruiting a Nursery Apprentice who is passionate about making a difference to the lives of young children and is eager to begin a career in early years education.
The Role
As part of our team, you will work alongside experienced practitioners to support a group of key children. You will gain hands-on experience observing, supporting and planning for children’s development while working towards your qualification. You’ll help provide high-quality care, engaging learning experiences and contribute to our child-centred approach, working closely with families to ensure our setting remains safe, fun and enriching.
Key responsibilities include:

Assisting in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities following the EYFS framework
- Supporting children’s emotional, social and cognitive development through play
- Helping to observe and record children’s progress and learning journeys
- Promoting positive behaviour and building children’s confidence and self-esteem
- Working alongside the team to build strong relationships with parents/carers
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety at all times
What we’re looking for

A genuine interest in working with young children
- Willingness to work towards a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare and Education
- Good basic literacy, numeracy and communication skills
- A positive attitude, reliability and eagerness to learn
