BW Controls have opportunities for a Wire Person to join and complement the existing team. In this role, you will electrically wire backplates and associated components in accordance with the electrical schematics.
Duties:
The key responsibilities of a Wire Person but are not limited to are:
- Provide hands on mechanical assembly and wiring of control panels.
- Complete wiring and install a variety of electronic and electro-mechanical components from mechanical and electrical drawings
- Report design or material non-conformances.
- Mark up drawings for design updates to “As Built”.
- Undertake Quality checks, inspections and record findings of completed wiring.
- Test control panels for functionality and troubleshoot any issue
- Comply with company policies and procedures concerning safety, environment and quality, record keeping requirements.
Experience:
- Knowledge and understanding of electrical systems
- Mechanical knowledge for panel assembly and wiring
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for panel assembly
Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate wiring and assembly of control panels
- Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues during panel testing
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide updates on progress
