Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our team in a vehicle workshop. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, excellent phone etiquette, and a proactive approach to administrative tasks. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our office and will involve a variety of clerical duties. Monday to Friday no weekends.
Duties
- Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office
- Manage phone calls, emails, and correspondence with professionalism and courtesy
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
- Maintain organised filing systems for both physical and digital documents
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing calendars
- Prepare reports and presentations using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Handle basic bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks as needed
- Support team members with clerical tasks to enhance productivity
- Knowledge of xero desirable
Requirements
- Previous garage office experience is essential, with a focus on administrative roles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace
- Strong typing skills with attention to detail for data entry tasks
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Demonstrated phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for client interactions
- Familiarity with QuickBooks is advantageous but not mandatory
- Previous clerical experience will be considered an asset
