The Opportunity
Join a multidisciplinary engineering team delivering innovative water and wastewater projects across the UK and internationally. As an EICA Engineer, you will play a key role in developing electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation solutions within a fast-paced Design & Build environment.
- Deliver EICA design solutions across water and wastewater treatment projects
- Produce and review engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports
- Support the delivery of projects from concept through to detailed design and construction support
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, vendors, and clients
- Participate in technical workshops, design reviews, HAZOPs, and safety assessments
- Assess existing infrastructure and develop practical EICA solutions for treatment and pumping systems
- Ensure designs comply with UK standards, WIMES, CDM Regulations, and project requirements
- Support safe design practices including design risk assessments and engineering governance
Essential
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, ICA Engineering, or related discipline
- Experience within water and/or wastewater engineering projects in the UK
- Strong understanding of EICA systems, controls, and automation within infrastructure projects
- Experience producing technical design documentation and engineering deliverables
- Knowledge of UK water industry standards, codes, and WIMES specifications
- Experience working within Design & Build or contractor-led environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
Desirable
- Incorporated Engineer status or working towards Chartered status with the IET or equivalent
- Experience supporting project bids or tender-stage engineering activities
- Exposure to HAZOPs, ALMs, and formal design safety reviews
- Experience working with contractors, vendors, and commissioning teams
- Familiarity with SCADA, PLCs, telemetry, or industrial automation systems
- Flexibility to travel for site visits and client meetings
