Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automatic & Industrial Door Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of a variety of door systems in various settings. This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to work independently while ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.
Duties
- Install door systems according to manufacturer specifications and industry regulations.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks and repairs on existing doors to ensure optimal functionality.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with door systems including mechanical and electrical faults, providing effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide recommendations for suitable door solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and installations.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while on-site, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in door technology.
- Attend emergency call-outs as part of a rota.
- We carry out facilities management work for some of our clients stores, this can include plumbing, flooring, locks etc, you would be required to work on these too.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Automatic & Industrial Door Engineer.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, mechanics, and automated systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues ensuring you deliver excellent customer service on-site.
- A Full valid UK driving licence is essential for travel between job sites.
- Relevant certifications in engineering or related fields are advantageous but not mandatory. (ADSA / DHF / CSCS / IPAF / PASMA certification desirable but not essential.)
