We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Psychologist to join our team at Woodlands Neurological rehabilitation centre in York.

Working under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist, you will support the delivery of psychological services to individuals with acquired neurological conditions and their families. This is an excellent role for someone looking to develop their career in clinical neuropsychology or related fields.

What you'll be working:

This is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

What you'll be doing:

Keep people safe from any harm and protect their human rights
Deliver clinical interventions under direct supervision
Work with colleagues to assess patients and review their care in preparation for MDT meetings
Assist in the formulation of care plans requiring psychological treatment, under the direct supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist
Ensure all clinical documentation is of a high standard and patient notes are maintained and filed in the appropriate way
Assist in the design and implementation of service evaluation and research projects for specialist services
Provide a high level of communication with internal and external stakeholders
Maintain and contribute to the standards of professional care, ethics, policies, and procedures

What you'll have:

A degree in Psychology (2:1 or above) eligible for graduate membership of the BPS.
Experience working as an Assistant Psychologist in adult services is essential.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Organised, motivated, and able to work independently under supervision.
A genuine interest in clinical neuropsychology and rehabilitation.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS.
