Guest Services/Reception

York - Part time

What you'll do:

Deliver a professional and welcoming 5-star customer service experience to all building users and visitors.
Act as the first point of contact in a receptionist role for facilities support, resolving queries efficiently and professionally
Ensure meeting rooms are fully operational, correctly prepared, and maintained to a high standard.
Support the Guest services team and conduct regular floor walks (when required) to monitor service delivery and maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment.
Monitor and replenish stationery hubs, vending areas, and consumables within allocated spaces.
Provide hospitality support and clear-down services in line with hygiene and legislative standards.
Assist with onboarding and induction support for new building users.
Provide access to new employees via a card access system
Report faults, maintenance issues, and service concerns promptly to the relevant teams.
Promote site rules and support customers in following building procedures and safety requirements.
Build positive working relationships with customers, contractors, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall customer experience.
Provide flexible support across facilities services, including occasional cleaning duties when required.

What you'll bring:

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate confidently at all levels.
A proactive, positive, and can-do attitude with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently using initiative, as well as collaboratively within a team.
Good IT skills and confidence using workplace technology and office systems.
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high service standards.
Resilience and adaptability when managing changing priorities and customer needs.
Professional, reliable, and trustworthy approach to all responsibilities.
Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and escalate appropriately.
Flexible and hands-on approach to supporting facilities and workplace operations.
