Our local authority client is looking for General Operatives/Assistant Gardeners to join their operations team based in York.
This is a full time role, from Monday to Friday, 37 hours a week (with a lunch time finish on a Friday). This is for an immediate start and the assignment will be until mid September 2026. The work will cover a wide variety of residential sites in York.
The rate of pay is £13.86 per hour.
The purpose of this role is to carry out (where necessary) gardening and horticultural work/maintenance.
For this role, a vehicle, equipment and PPE will be provided. Other duties will include: cutting, pruning, mowing, litter picking, sweeping, weeding, emptying public bins etc.
Previous experience of gardening/horticulture or similar, would be extremely advantageous.
You MUST hold a current full UK driving licence, be used to working outdoors and be physically fit.
Onsite inductions will be held asap, so an immediate start is needed.
