About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Junior PMO to work for our client within the public sector. This is initially 6-month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a remote role with occasion travel to London or Leeds. Active SC (Security Check) clearance is required for this role and applicants must have worked in a UK Government department in the last 12 months.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior PMO Analyst to support the delivery of programmes and projects within a structured portfolio environment. The role will work within the Project Management Office (PMO), helping to ensure governance, reporting, and project controls are consistently applied across projects.

Responsibilities:

Support the PMO function in maintaining governance standards across projects and programmes
Assist with the preparation of project documentation, including reports, dashboards, RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies)
Track and monitor project performance against timelines, budgets, and deliverables
Maintain accurate records of project progress, ensuring all documentation is up to date
Support resource planning and tracking activities
Assist in facilitating project governance meetings, including taking minutes and tracking actions
Provide administrative support to Project Managers and Programme Managers
Ensure compliance with internal processes and external regulatory requirements
Support continuous improvement of PMO processes and tools

About You

Active SC (Security Check) clearance – must have worked in a UK Government department in the last 12 months
Experience working in a PMO, project support, or project coordination role
Understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, or similar)
Experience producing project reports and maintaining project documentation
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
