Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate, skilled, and engaging Dance Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will inspire students across all age groups with high-energy dance classes that combine technique, performance, and creativity. You will be responsible for choreographing routines for term-time classes, special events, and end-of-year showcases, while creating a positive and disciplined learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and age-appropriate dance classes to students aged 4–18.
Teach a variety of dance styles including street, commercial, jazz, and musical theatre.
Choreograph routines for performances, showcases, and events.
Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere with clear expectations and encouragement.
Collaborate with the drama and singing teachers to deliver cross-disciplinary projects and performances.
Monitor and report on student progress and wellbeing.
Ensure all health, safety, and safeguarding procedures are followed.

Person Specification

Essential:

Experience teaching dance to children and young people in a structured setting.
Degree/ Working towards or professional training in dance or performing arts.
Strong technical skills and the ability to teach across a range of styles.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
A confident, enthusiastic, and approachable manner.
Commitment to Razzamataz’s ethos of nurturing creativity and confidence.
Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide references.

Desirable:

Experience in choreography and show production.
First aid training.
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

Working Hours

Term-time Saturdays (typically between 845am–330pm). Additional hours for show rehearsals, events, and training may be required.
