We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced clinician to join our Oncology Outpatient Physiotherapy team as a Band 7 Clinical Specialist working 0.5 WTE.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic multidisciplinary oncology service, providing highly specialised assessment, treatment and management for patients with breast and head and neck cancer diagnoses. This role will be based at St James’s University hospital, however occasional travel across all sites may be required.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high quality, patient-centred care across the outpatient oncology setting, supporting patients throughout their cancer journey from diagnosis through treatment and follow-up. You will work closely with oncology consultants, clinical nurse specialists, allied health professionals and the wider MDT to ensure safe, effective and compassionate care.
The post holder will independently manage a complex clinical caseload and provide specialist advice and support to patients, carers and colleagues. You will contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, education and clinical leadership within the team.
Advanced communication skills and expertise in offering rehabilitation and symptom management advice for acute oncological issues will be essential, alongside the promotion of long-term management strategies for cancer-related effects.
Applicants should have experience working at a senior level within the NHS. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a current Band 6 or Band 7 clinician seeking to further develop their clinical and managerial skills.
Interviews for this role will take place on Wednesday 17th June.
