Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in electrical work to contribute to diverse projects within a professional environment. Candidates must possess relevant experience, be safety-conscious, and demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills.

Duties

Install, test, and commission electrical systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of existing electrical installations
Troubleshoot electrical faults using hand tools and power tools efficiently
Repair or replace faulty wiring, circuit breakers, switches, and other electrical components
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation and company policies
Maintain detailed records of work performed and materials used
Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within budget

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Electrician or similar role with a solid understanding of electrical systems
Proficiency in using hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, etc., as well as power tools including drills and saws
Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety procedures
Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately
Relevant qualifications or certifications in electrical installation or maintenance (e.g., City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3) are highly desirable
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Valid UK driving licence is preferred but not essential
