Company Overview

Roscarrack House Limited is a small, family-run residential home located on the outskirts of Falmouth. We pride ourselves on providing a warm and nurturing environment for our residents, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care and support.

Summary

We are seeking an Activity Assistant to join our dedicated team at Roscarrack House. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through engaging activities and social interactions. Your contributions will help create a vibrant community atmosphere that promotes well-being.

This role is for no less than 24 hours but we are looking for someone with flexibility who is able to help out during staff holidays and sickness.

Responsibilities

Plan and implement engaging activities tailored to the interests and needs of residents.
Encourage participation in group activities and one-on-one interactions.
Assist residents with mobility and provide support during activities.
Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes social interaction.
Collaborate with care staff to ensure activities align with residents' care plans.
Monitor residents' engagement levels and adapt activities accordingly.

Requirements

Experience in a care setting or working with seniors is preferred.
Flexibility on availability to work varied shifts and alternate weekends.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents and staff.
Compassionate and patient demeanour when working with individuals with varying needs.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Creative mindset to develop engaging activity programs.
