Permanent VCA role at Acres Veterinary Centre

Up to £26,437 (DOE)

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Veterinary Care Assistant to join our team at Acres Veterinary Centre on a full-time basis.

Due to our continued expansion and exciting move to a brand-new, purpose-built practice in Airdrie Retail Park, Acres Vets is looking for a caring, enthusiastic Animal Care Assistant to join our team. You'll work alongside our experienced veterinary nurses and surgeons, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of outstanding patient care and ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a friendly, supportive practice committed to exceptional animal welfare, teamwork, and providing the very best care for our patients and their owners.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the clinical team to deliver high standards of patient and client care, while helping to ensure the practice environment runs smoothly and safely.

Working under the direction of a Veterinary Surgeon or Registered Veterinary Nurse, you'll support inpatient care, assist with patient handling and restraint, help maintain clinical areas and equipment, and contribute to a positive and compassionate experience for both patients and clients.

Working Pattern

This position will require you to work 40 hours per week over 5 days, along with the potential for some Saturday morning cover.
