Salary: £12.80 to £12.80 Annum

The role consists of shift work and weekends on a rota basis. Do you need more flexibility? Overview of the role

The apprenticeship will take approximately 12 months to complete and will allow you to achieve a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care. You will work alongside experienced staff members and learn the skills and knowledge you will need to become a confident Social Care Worker. You will be fully supported by your colleagues and your manager throughout your apprenticeship, and you will develop valuable experience within the industry. Not only that, but you’ll make a huge difference to people’s lives, whilst enjoying days out, trips away and joining in with many more activities. All of this ensures the people we work with are safe, happy and lead fulfilling lives.

Key duties

Providing personal care – including bathing, toileting, dressing and help with feeding
Medication administration
Assisting and getting involved in residents' daily activities, hobbies or outings
Following care plan guidance alongside Company policies and procedures
Developing an open, honest, and considerate working relationships with residents
Maintaining written daily records
Attending and complete training, as required

Where will you work?

Fifteen minutes’ walk from Lymington town centre, in the beautiful New Forest, Holly Lodge supports up to eleven men and women of mixed ages, with moderate to severe learning difficulties and autism. Holly Lodge is a large home with plenty of communal areas for leisure and socialising, including a shared lounge and an activities room. All the bedrooms are en-suite and are currently undergoing some exciting refurbishments. There is also huge garden; including a smaller, secret garden tucked away within it. Those we support at Holly Lodge are a lively and active group. They get involved in a broad range of tailored, individual activities to support ongoing personal development, as well as group pastimes including self-organised arts and crafts, and frequent trips around the New Forest and the nearby beaches. Holly Lodge is staffed on a 24-hour basis and also offers in-house positive behaviour support to help with emotional and general wellbeing.
