Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced VTCT Level 3 & 4 Beauty & Aesthetics Tutor to join our dynamic teaching team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality training programmes in beauty therapy and aesthetics, ensuring students develop both practical skills and theoretical knowledge. Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality theory and practical sessions for VTCT Level 3 & 4 Beauty & Aesthetics qualifications.
Teach advanced skin and aesthetic treatments to industry standards, including:
Advanced Skin Analysis and Consultation
High frequency/Galvanic facials
Microneedling
Chemical Skin Peels
Dermaplaning
Advanced Facial Treatments
Laser Skin Rejuvenation
Laser Hair Removal
Deliver practical demonstrations and supervise learners in a clinical environment.
Assess learner competence through practical observations, assignments, portfolios and examinations.
Provide constructive feedback and individual learner support to maximise achievement.
Maintain accurate learner records and assessment documentation in accordance with VTCT requirements.
Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, infection prevention and control procedures, and laser safety protocols.
Promote professionalism, client care and ethical practice throughout all training.
Participate in internal quality assurance activities, standardisation meetings and continuing professional development (CPD).
Keep up to date with current industry trends, legislation and advances in aesthetic technologies.
Essential Requirements
Recognised Level 3 or4 qualification in Beauty Therapy, Advanced Aesthetics or an equivalent qualification.
Teaching qualification (Level 3 Award in Education & Training, Level 4 Certificate in Education & Training, PGCE or equivalent), or willingness to work towards one.
Assessor qualification (TAQA, A1 or equivalent), or willingness to obtain.
Sound knowledge of laser safety, client consultation, skin assessment and treatment planning.
Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and online learning platforms.
Desirable
Internal Quality Assurance (IQA/V1) qualification.
Previous experience delivering VTCT qualifications within Further Education or a private training academy.
Current Laser Protection Supervisor (LPS) training or equivalent laser safety certification.
Experience preparing learners for external quality assurance visits.
Evidence of ongoing CPD within advanced aesthetics and laser technologies.

- Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons in VTCT Level 3 & 4 Beauty & Aesthetics courses, ensuring all learning outcomes are met.
- Develop and update lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessment materials aligned with industry standards and curriculum specifications.
- Provide personalised support and guidance to students, monitoring their progress and offering constructive feedback.
- Assess student work accurately, maintaining detailed records of attendance, progress, and achievement.
- Organise practical demonstrations, workshops, and assessments to enhance hands-on learning experiences.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional learning environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Keep abreast of current trends and developments within the beauty therapy industry to ensure teaching content remains relevant.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and contribute to programme development initiatives.
- Support students in preparing for industry placements or further education opportunities.
Skills
- Proven experience in beauty therapy or aesthetics at VTCT Level 3 & 4 or equivalent qualifications.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage lesson planning, assessments, and student records efficiently.
- Proficiency in IT tools relevant to teaching, including presentation software and online learning platforms.
- Effective teaching skills with the ability to motivate and inspire learners to achieve their potential.
- Fluency in English is essential; additional language skills are advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: £18.42-£37.93 per hour
