Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Canine Hydrotherapist to join our team.
To provide hydrotherapy sessions for dogs pre & post surgery, managing long-term conditions and fun/fitness/conditioning. You’ll play a vital role in improving mobility, strength, and overall wellbeing.
The successful candidate will specialise in providing hydrotherapy treatments to dogs, assisting in their recovery and improving their overall wellbeing. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment focused on animal health and rehabilitation, utilising specialised equipment and techniques to deliver effective therapy sessions.
Duties
- Conduct hydrotherapy sessions for canine patients, ensuring safety and comfort at all times.
- Assess the individual needs of each dog and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Operate hydrotherapy pool equipment with precision and care.
- Monitor and record each dog’s progress throughout treatment programmes, adjusting techniques as necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organised therapy environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Educate pet owners on post-treatment care and home exercises to optimise recovery outcomes.
Qualifications
- Self employed minimum level 3 small animal hydrotherapist.
- Strong understanding of canine anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation principles.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with pet owners, colleagues, and veterinary professionals.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine passion for animal welfare and rehabilitation.
