Job Title: Financial Investigator - NTFIU - Police Staff - CTP London

Salary: The starting salary is £40,519, which includes allowances totalling £3,009.

The salary is broken down as £37,510 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £40,141. Plus, a location allowance of £2,009 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

Job Summary

The National Terrorist Financial Investigation Unit (NTFIU) investigates a wide range of offences, typically including complex fraud, money laundering and offences under s.15-18 Terrorism Act 2000. The team undertake investigations from their inception through to executive action, prosecution and the confiscation or forfeiture of funds.

Additionally, the NTFIU will also provide pan - SO15 Command support to wider CT investigations through the completion of financial strategies, profiles and enquiries. NTFIU investigations are often complex and require an ability to apply proactive and reactive policing methods.

You will work closely with agencies and departments across HM Government and also the wider financial sector, establishing co-operative and trusted relationships.

You will utilise a range of financial investigation legislation to conduct and support POCA and CT investigations, including cash seizures, account forfeiture and confiscations. You will also provide financial investigation expertise and support to CT investigations and identify disruption opportunities through financial investigation.

You will also undertake intelligence assessments on NCIA, be responsible for assessing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and completing financial profiles.

There will be a requirement to become and maintain accreditation as a POCA and CT Financial Investigator

This role offers an excellent developmental opportunity for financial investigators or intelligence analysts to broaden their areas of expertise. Successful candidates will work on NTFIU investigation teams targeting subjects through both reactive and proactive investigation methods.

The NTFIU has a blended working policy meaning there will be opportunities to work away from CTOC.
