Full job description

QF is a football analysis brand producing sharp, tactically focused short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. As output increases over the 2026 World Cup, the company is expanding its freelance team.

Role overview The company is seeking a knowledgeable Football Clip Sourcer to source, select and clip the match footage that underpins its tactical breakdowns. This is a specialist research role rather than a general footage-gathering task. The successful candidate will be able to watch a match and quickly identify the specific moments that carry analytical value, such as build-up play, pressing triggers, defensive movements and individual key actions.

This role is perfectly suited to students, or football lovers who would like to earn some extra money over the World Cup period who would already be watching these matches.

Key responsibilities

Source match footage and individual player highlights for assigned fixtures and storylines
Identify and clip the precise moments that align with the editorial brief provided for each video
Organise all clips into clearly labelled folders using a consistent naming convention
Deliver footage to tight deadlines, particularly on busy tournament matchdays

Requirements

Strong, demonstrable football knowledge, including a clear understanding of tactics
A fast, organised and reliable workflow
Ability to work accurately to a brief under time pressure
Excellent communication and a dependable remote setup with stable internet

Desirable

Previous experience sourcing or logging footage for a content channel, club or media outlet
Familiarity with how analysis and commentary content operates across social platforms

Application process Applicants should submit a short response naming one recent match they have watched, along with the three clips they would select from it for a tactical breakdown and a brief explanation of why. Examples of previous football or sports content are strongly preferred.

Pay: £50.00 per day
