Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Newspaper Distributor to deliver newspapers to designated areas promptly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, excellent communication abilities, and physical stamina to handle the demands of the role. This position offers an opportunity to work independently while contributing to the community’s access to daily news.

Responsibilities

Collect newspapers from the distribution centre and ensure they are loaded securely for delivery
Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely distribution of newspapers
Deliver newspapers to residential addresses, shops, and other designated locations in a professional manner
Handle heavy lifting when loading and unloading newspapers or supplies
Maintain accurate records of deliveries made and report any issues or delays promptly
Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding delivery schedules or concerns
Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations during deliveries

Qualifications

Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred
Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
Experience with commercial driving and warehouse operations is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively
Excellent communication skills for liaising with team members and clients
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Pay: £13.00 per hour
