Working hours: 6 hours per week (Shift pattern -Flexible)

Interview Date: 23 June 2026

Job Summary:

We are looking to recruit a Cleaner at Kirkwall Church. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that the building is clean, neat & tidy, and ready for use while always maintaining a safe working environment. You will be a keyholder. Self-motivation, good time keeping, reliability, honesty and integrity are essential as lone working is involved in this post.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning of halls, offices, rooms, and entrance.
Cleaning toilets, sinks and washing toilet floors.
Cleaning kitchen areas.
Ensuring that the external entrance is free from litter.
Ensuring toilet supplies are replenished regularly and informing the Corps Officers of cleaning supplies needs in a timely manner

The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:

Previous cleaning experience
Ability to work alone and use initiative
Knowledge of Health & Safety
