Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Window & Doors Installer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing windows and doors in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of various construction techniques and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. The ideal applicant will possess a range of skills including carpentry, utilisation of hand and power tools, and experience with different building materials. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills within the construction industry.

Duties

Measure, cut, and install windows and doors according to project specifications and schematics
Prepare work areas by removing existing fixtures or obstructions
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment to ensure precise fitting and sealing
Ensure all installations comply with safety standards and building regulations
Assist in the fabrication of custom window and door units when necessary
Perform repairs or replacements on existing installations as required
Collaborate with other trades such as roofing, plumbing, electrical, masonry, and carpentry teams to complete projects efficiently
Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout each project phase
Read schematics and technical drawings to interpret installation requirements

Experience

Proven experience in construction-related roles such as carpentry, roofing, or general building work is preferred
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques
Knowledge of schematics, construction painting, plastering, masonry, and other relevant trades is advantageous
Experience working with construction materials including timber, aluminium, uPVC, or similar products
Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately
Previous experience in window and door installation is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates with relevant construction backgrounds
